Cementerio San Jose

Cementerio San Jose (San Jose Cemetery) is a quiet, restful spot across the railroad south of US79,  just past the intersection with US 77.
Memorial flowers abound and it is very well kept.

Many markers are concrete that was originally painted or had tile on the face. Today, most of these are unreadable.

It is evident that someone does not need paint or tile to remember who rests here.

Little Isidro De Los Santos's marker at the right shows that the cemetery was in use as early as 1903.

Children are often the first to occupy a newly opened cemetery and the De Los Santos family lost two in 1903.
